Nova Sinclair is the half-blood illegitimate daughter of a vampire clan; her mother was executed by the clan's matriarch, Lydia, and Nova herself has spent her life downtrodden by her older sister, Selene. Ten years later, Nova is forced to impersonate Selene to get close to Prince Alexander—acting as a surrogate to bear an heir for her infertile sister. She feigns submission while secretly biding her time for revenge. However, Alexander’s unexpected tenderness introduces a variable she hadn't foreseen, making it increasingly difficult to distinguish between her charade and her true feelings. Yet, should her true identity be exposed, nothing awaits her but certain death.
