Heiress Lola hides her Sorel dynasty identity and secretly marries fire rescue captain Ryder, living ten years as a devoted housewife. But Ryder is already entangled with Liana, a scheming mistress who fakes a pregnancy to force him out of his marriage. When a citywide riot erupts, Lola and their six-year-old son Evan are trapped in the chaos. She begs Ryder for help—but Liana claims her cat needs rescuing, and Ryder abandons his wife and child for a pet shop. Lola saves Evan alone, but it is too late; their son dies. Shattered, Lola drops her disguise, returns as the Sorel heiress, and vows to make every culprit pay in blood.
