The male lead’s biological parents, who had been separated from him for twenty years, showed up at his wedding but deliberately pretended to be a poor farming couple, using eggs and potatoes to test
their son’s character. The scheming woman’s family, who despise the poor and favor the rich, publicly humiliate the male lead’s parents and even force him to abandon them. Torn between family ties and
marriage, the male lead chooses his parents and eventually sees through the scheming woman’s true colors, leading to a divorce. He then registers his marriage with the genuinely kind female lead, and
through repeated humiliations and misunderstandings, gradually uncovers the truth that his parents are actually super-rich and that he is their sole heir.
