On Elena's wedding day, her grandfather Arthur and father Harold, who had disappeared eighteen years ago, arrived dressed in old work clothes and carrying fried rice with salted fish. The groom, Julian, publicly humiliated the elderly couple, having secretly conspired with Chloe, the daughter of a shipping magnate, using the wedding as a tool for spite. Unable to bear the humiliation of her family, Elena immediately removed her ring and filed for divorce.
During the paperwork, Julian, accompanied by Chloe, blatantly mocked them. Oliver stepped forward and proposed, and the two registered their marriage on the spot. Elena activated the deep-sea pendant given to her by her grandfather—billions of dollars entered her account. It turned out that Arthur and Harold were the heads of a reclusive conglomerate, and their feigned poverty was merely a test of her character.
The grandfather and grandson pretended to be millions in debt to test Oliver; he sold his possessions to take on the debt, passing the test. At the mining expo, the chairman of the Thorne Group destroyed coral and forced everyone to kneel; Arthur transferred 80 million to intimidate him. The Belmont family seized power, and Arthur intervened to help Oliver's family escape danger.
At the yacht wedding, Arthur revealed his identity as the richest man and announced the complete acquisition of the Thorne Group. Julian, who had once been materialistic and snobbish, was filled with remorse. Elena, holding full inheritance rights, stayed with the sincere Oliver, finally filling the eighteen-year void in their family life.
