The day Aurelia conceived the Wolf King Cade's child, he brought home a human noblewoman, Celeste. He treated Aurelia as a burden and caused her miscarriage; Celeste crushed the life-saving elixir Aurelia's mother had traded her life for and framed her for poisoning. Cade refused to listen, threw her into the bone-eroding abyss, and gave the heart-protecting pill to his new love. Her mother died in bitterness, and on the night of the lunar eclipse, Aurelia leapt into the bottomless dark. Only after her death did Cade's nightmare begin—when the truth emerged, he stripped Celeste of her nobility and locked her in Wolf Valley to be devoured by wolves, then offered his heart's blood and demonic power daily, breaking his own wolf bones to bring Aurelia back. In the end, Aurelia returns and ascends the throne, but Cade's life reaches its end: she wins the crown, and loses him forever.
