After three years of marriage, Eve Hart gave up her fashion career in New York for her husband, Adrian Cole—yet she lived forever in his coldness and her parents' favoritism toward their adopted daughter, Selena. A car accident erased her memories of those three years—and erased the version of herself who had hurt herself again and again for love.
Faced with a planted necklace, a cashew allergy, a refrigerated truck, and a kidnapping that ended in water, Eve stopped begging for anyone's trust. When Adrian and her parents once again chose to save Selena first, Eve's heart died completely. She left behind divorce papers, a statement renouncing the trust fund, and a letter cutting all contact—then returned to New York alone.
Eve returned to FORM as editor-in-chief. With her professional skill, she resolved a runway crisis and secured a 15-million-dollar investment from Reed Capital. She also reunited with investor Noah Reed—a Parsons junior who remembered her past but always respected her choices.
Adrian uncovered all of Selena's crimes and, along with the regretful Hart couple, followed Eve to New York to beg her to come back—and was refused. After Selena was arrested and jumped bail, she broke into FORM's birthday launch party with a gun. Adrian and Diane each took a bullet to protect Eve—yet neither could win back her love. In the end, Eve refused to remarry, kept FORM in New York, and remembered Noah again. She no longer waited for others to choose her—she chose her career, her dignity, and a new love with her own hands.
