She Teases. He Plays Dumb

To rescue her critically ill mother, who is held captive and coerced by her father Jackson, Nora infiltrates Tingyao Group and works as personal secretary to CEO Thorn, aiming to steal a necklace embedded with the conglomerate’s top-secret chip.

Plagued by lifelong family power struggles, Thorn bears deep trauma and paranoia. He sees through Nora’s ulterior motives the moment she is hired but chooses to stay silent and observe coldly—until genuine affection grows amid their tense cat-and-mouse dynamic. While Nora probes for chances to snatch the chip, she gradually falls for Thorn’s gruff, hidden tenderness after constant close contact, torn between guilt and love.

Caught in multiple crises: Amanda’s meddling, pressure from Thorn’s elder family members, and threats from her own father, Nora devises a scheme to swap the real necklace with a counterfeit. Yet at the critical moment, she chooses to protect the chip, unwilling to wound Thorn irreparably.

As the full conspiracy unfolds, Nora learns her family’s ruin is entirely her father’s own fault. Faced with corporate rivals and cascading troubles, Thorn stands firmly by Nora’s side. They stand united against all threats. Past lies and pain fail to tear them apart; they become each other’s salvation.

In the end, Nora’s mother recovers steadily. All old grudges are laid to rest. Having healed his childhood wounds, Thorn confesses his love and proposes to Nora, sealing their heartfelt happy ending.
