For seven years, Mia had loved her aloof husband Henry with unwavering devotion, bearing him a daughter and managing the household. On her birthday, she traveled abroad to visit relatives, only to discover that her husband and daughter were celebrating another woman’s—Evelyn’s—birthday, leaving her feeling like an outsider. Disheartened, Mia left a divorce agreement behind and resolutely returned home. She was determined to rebuild her career and regain her independence. Meanwhile, Henry, upon discovering the divorce agreement, initially paid it no mind; it wasn’t until Mia had completely vanished from his life that he began to realize he had lost the most important woman in his life.
