Julia's six-year-old daughter, Lily, has been diagnosed with severe beta-thalassemia and can only survive through a sibling's umbilical cord blood transplant. Desperate to save her daughter, Julia goes to Marco, the Mafia godfather who hates her deeply, and begs him for another child. Marco, convinced that this woman who abandoned him for money years ago has ulterior motives, relentlessly mocks and humiliates Julia. Julia endures this with tears in her eyes, clinging to this sole hope of saving her daughter. Only when the truth is gradually revealed does Marco realize that the woman he has hated for six years has never betrayed him.
