Avery is an heir to the Harrington dynasty—one of Hollywood’s most elite families—yet she chooses to keep her identity hidden, working as an extra on her own family’s film sets. During this time, she enters into a secret relationship with Ethan. As Ethan rises to fame, he grows to resent her; while in London, he even betrays their relationship by becoming involved with the A-list superstar Daphne. Meanwhile, Avery strikes out on her own to found Crescent Pictures, and within five years, she has become a major power player in the industry. When Ethan publicly discards her, her two concealed identities are finally revealed—leaving everyone who once looked down on her to realize that the very top-tier resources they had been desperately chasing were, in fact, in Avery’s hands all along.
