To fund her critically ill father's treatment, brilliant criminal profiler Yiluoen entered into a five-year contract marriage with Drew, the CEO of the Hamilton Group; she put her career on hold to nurse Drew back to health after a severe wingsuit accident and gave birth to their daughter, Freya. After the return of Drew's first love, Sela—who constantly schemed to sow discord—Drew mistakenly shoved Yiluoen, causing her serious injury. Later, misled by lies, he forced the physically frail Yiluoen to undergo a blood transfusion for Sela and even punished her by making her kneel in penance all night long.
