Evelyn, an heir to the Laurent medical empire, spent five years in Germany, during which she remitted $3.2 million back home. Her husband, Arthur—who played the part of the perfect spouse—conspired with their daughter’s tutor, Taylor, to embezzle the funds. Upon her return, Evelyn discovered the truth, only to realize that a "school document" she had signed five years earlier was, in fact, a formal relinquishment of her custodial rights. Arthur manipulated the sympathies of neighbors, the school, and the media to construct a trap of public opinion, while Taylor harbored a twisted, possessive obsession with their daughter, Chloe. With the help of her lawyer, Alexander, Evelyn systematically stripped away Arthur’s facade and exposed Taylor’s true colors, ultimately reclaiming her daughter and rebuilding her life.
