Farewell, My Captain

Senior flight attendant Emma and captain Ryan have been in a secret relationship for four years. With her outstanding professional competence, she has helped Ryan secure every single flight operation smoothly, and she was even prepared to use the 21% stake left by her mother to back him in taking over Summit Airline at the shareholders' meeting in three days. However, severe turbulence hit their maiden voyage. Emma stepped forward to protect all passengers on board, yet Ryan took all the credit for the new recruit Bianca and kissed her in public. Emma broke up with him decisively. On a stormy night, she had a one-night stand with a strange captain at the airport hotel, only to learn the next day that he was actually Ryan's uncle Noah — a legendary captain and the owner of Beacon Airline, who is also Ryan's most feared rival.

Noah is deeply attracted by Emma's calmness and competence. Later, a sudden fire breaks out during the cabin test. Ryan immediately flees while protecting Bianca, but Noah accompanies Emma back into the thick smoke to rescue the cleaner. When Emma's uniform gets burned, Noah personally drapes his coat over her. Ryan still assumes Emma will never leave him, until she submits her resignation letter, changes her 21% stake to a "no" vote, and joins Noah's company. Bianca tries to edit a video to slander Emma, only to be exposed by the complete original footage. At the shareholders' meeting, Emma walks into the venue arm in arm with Noah and casts the decisive opposing vote — Ryan's succession is rejected. It is at this moment that he finally realizes he has lost not only the control of the company, but also the woman who once was willing to hand over her entire future to him.
