Omega Ellis Hale marries Alpha Reid Calloway due to their 100% pheromone match, only to suffer five years of cold neglect. Ellis runs a flower shop near Reid’s law firm to win his affection, yet Reid dismisses him as frigid. When Ellis learns his Omega gland will atrophy without Alpha pheromone comfort, he plans to beg Reid for help in his upcoming heat.
Ellis catches Reid cheating, triggering an early heat. Reid ignores his desperate call. Reid’s superior Grant, an Alpha with cedar-bergamot pheromones, gives Ellis a temporary mark and encourages divorce. Pressured by Reid’s family, Ellis grows determined to leave. Grant helps Ellis gain confidence amid fierce family opposition and Reid’s jealous surveillance. Ellis successfully divorces Reid and falls for Grant, leaving Reid consumed by regret.
