Elena gave up her career to support her husband Thomas's entry into the high-society real estate world and devoted herself to raising their adopted twins. A phone call then revealed that it was all a scam; the twins were actually Thomas's children with his friend Rebecca, and Thomas had even been poisoning Elena for years. Upon learning the truth, Elena fought back fiercely, resulting in Thomas's imprisonment and the complete destruction of Rebecca's and the ungrateful twins' reputations. Ultimately, Elena found true love in Daniel and achieved self-redemption.
