From Substituteto Queen

"The Everard family has been bound by a blood kin curse wielded by the Nova clan for generations. Eight years ago, young Elara witnessed her mother Lyra murdered by Morwen. Blessed with innate absolute mental resistance, she only fell partially under the curse and retained all her memories. Choosing to feign amnesia, she spent eight years trapped inside Nova Castle, forced to act as a body double for Seraphine, whose face she shared.

When she grew up, Elara hunted magical beasts, mastered noble etiquette and drew near Crown Prince Aldric in Seraphine’s stead. Meanwhile, she deliberately humiliated the vain young lady time and again in public. After entering the royal palace, Elara forged an alliance with Samuel, the king’s illegitimate son who had endured endless humiliation from King Cedric. She would help him eliminate the crown prince and seize the throne; in return, Samuel would assist her in tracking down the Moonmark, the artifact capable of breaking the blood curse.

Elara turned the killing array set by Morwen against Aldric and forced Seraphine to slay her own mother to survive. At last, Elara claimed the Moonmark, freed her entire clan, restored her true appearance, and burned Nova’s forbidden grimoires. Seraphine unleashed a sacrificial forbidden spell as her final gambit, only to be consumed by her own magic and countered by Elara.

Samuel ascended the throne, and Elara claimed her true name and identity to become his queen. Yet the House of Ravens soon demanded the kingdom of Vesta send troops, and a new war looms on the horizon."
