Molly Foster, a young maid who finds herself transported into a story about a wealthy family with a fake and real heir, had originally planned to work quietly until she got through her probationary period and then make a run for it. Little did she know that all her inner monologues could actually be heard by Victor Hastings, the patriarch of the Hastings family, as well as his son Alistair Hastings and daughter-in-law Clara Ashford. Thanks to her inner monologue—which revealed her knowledge of the plot—the Hastings family was able to thwart the fake heir Elias Hastings’ schemes to seize power ahead of time, reunite with their long-lost biological son Julian Hastings, and work together to protect their family fortune. In the process, Molly Foster also earned a respectable new status for herself.
